NATIONAL INDEPENDENCE CELEBRATION

Ghana was the first black African country to become independent and all the Ghanaians around the world celebrate the 6th march as their Independence Day.

The Ghana Embassy of Ghana to the Holy See organized the celebration in the elegant location of the Aldrovandi Hotel in Villa Borghese, in the heart of Rome.

Diplomats, religious communities and represents of the United Nation Agencies Rome based came together to greet His Excellency the Ambassador Joseph Kojo Akudibillah and all his staff.

After playing the Ghana national anthems and the Vatican one, the Master of Ceremonies introduced Ambassador’s speech who walked us through the Ghana Independence history.

A particular mention was dedicated to the progresses made by the ongoing government, focusing its efforts in building a “Ghana beyond aid”.

Later he host enjoyed local dishes as well as traditional foods and beverages.
